Music Photography

Photographing musicians and working in the music industry is one of my favorite parts of my job. From my work at Taylor Guitars, leading brand imaging full-time, to see my work published in Rolling Stone, it’s been such an honor to do what I do. As a music lover, I love many artists I’ve photographed. I have been lucky to work with and talk to some incredibly talented humans, from Ben Harper to Jason Mraz.

Over time, through my work at Taylor, I’ve developed special skills in photographing guitars. By the very nature of the instrument, they are challenging to photograph. The rich ebony fretboard contrasting against a light and figured spruce top is challenging. I can honestly say learning to photograph guitars has also helped me in every other area of photography.

It's only publishers who think that people own it.”

Taylor Guitars

For over four years, I was privileged to lead photography for Taylor Guitars’ global marketing efforts. Photographing these innovative and beautiful guitars was a huge opportunity, and I took it as a personal challenge to match the quality of photography with the quality, care, and craftsmanship that represents the Taylor brand.
